Inspired by the harmony of Japanese architecture, the Kengo San shade captures the balance between grounding and lightness.

Its name blends Kengo, a nod to Kengo Kuma’s architectural philosophy of natural simplicity, with San, the Japanese word for mountain. Formed from a series of gently layered planes, the shade diffuses a warm ambient glow, creating a sculptural yet calm presence within the space.

Each piece is made locally in Melbourne from biodegradable PLA and supplied with a custom, non-electrical mounting connector designed for the IKEA KRYSSMAST table lamp base available at IKEA for $35.99. The connector attaches to the base’s existing shade fitting, with no rewiring or modification of the electrical components required.

This kit includes the Kengo San shade, mounting connector and your choice of a warm white dimmable or smart E27 LED globe.

Please note: The IKEA KRYSSMAST table lamp base shown in the photographs is not included and must be purchased separately from IKEA.

Yes! The lamp can be easily unscrewed from the bottom to replace the bulb.

How do I assemble the lamp?
The lamp comes fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box.

Are the lamps safe and certified for use in Australia?

Yes. Namami Studio is a registered Responsible Supplier under the Australian Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS). All of our electrical components are fully certified:

  • Cord sets (including dimmable and switch types) are RCM certified for use in Australia.
  • Standard & Dimmable warm white bulbs are RCM approved.
  • RGB smart bulbs meet CE & EMC international safety standards.

Namami Studio designs and produces only the decorative 3D-printed shades, while all electrical parts are sourced from certified manufacturers. Some light assembly may be required when setting up your lamp.
